Shen Den Yurt was created with love and intention to become a safe and sacred space for healing and transformation, passing the teachings and wisdom, sharing and exploring. It opened its door in autumn 2019 and has been hosting numerous holistic and wellness events since then. Yoga and Meditation retreats, Healing Art workshops, Thai Massage, Reiki, Gene Keys training, Sound Journey, cacao and tea ceremonies, qi gong classes are some examples of how we build a conscious community together.
Where is it? The Yurt is located in a quiet neighborhood of rural Metchosin, BC. Many people acknowledged the healing power of the land it is on. We are within a short distance to the ocean beach, hiking trails, parks and lakes. Shen Den Yurt is surrounded by guardian trees, providing a private space for a deep inner work.

What is in the name? Shen means Spirit in Chinese. It resides in the heart and visible in the eyes. It implies our consciousness, mental health, vitality, and our presence in this world. We set an intention in the Yurt to hold a sacred space for Shen. This is how the word Den was added to the name one day, when a bear appeared with its medicine, reminding of its healing power of introspection, protection and ability to rebirth every spring. Join us for a retreat or training in Shen Den Yurt to experience its magic. Private events and individual sessions are held in this energetically charged place. We are always looking for teacher, facilitators and practitioners to share their knowledge in the Yurt.
