Thai Massage, a practical application of Metta, the Buddhist principal of loving kindness,
a compassionate touch

What is Thai Massage?
A complete Thai Massage consists of stretching movements, yoga like postures, tissue massage along the body energy lines and acupressure points. It's an ancient healing art, which includes energy and bodywork, influenced by Yoga and Ayurveda , Chinese medicine principles and techniques, indigenous Thai traditions. It is a deeply meditative experience, that promotes the natural healing  process, a relief from mental stress and physical discomfort. Traditionally the massage is performed on the floor mat. It takes about 2 hours to complete a full body series. A Thai Massage session can be modified to suit a wide range of physical needs, different age and abilities.

What are the benefits?
  • promotes blood circulation and detoxification
  • prevents bone degeneration
  • treats muscle and chronic joint pain, improves muscle tone and flexibility
  • relieves stress and anxiety, calms the mind
  • increases range of motion and muscular strength
  • improves body alignment
  • raises the energy level and contributes to psychological well-being
  • and more

How to prepare for a Thai massage session?
Wear comfortable clothing, that allows twists and stretches freely.  Full sleeve/ long pants are advisable. It is suggested not to eat at least 1 hour before and after a session to allow the body to integrate the work and benefit fully from the initiated healing process. Drinking lots of water after the session helps detoxing.

My offering to you: a relaxation style Thai Massage session with therapeutic benefits from stretching the tissues and freeing the joints, working with acupressure points and energy lines to align the energy flow in the body.  Relax. Restore. Rejuvenate.
